USA Field Service Engineer - WI, USA

Job Description:

Be at the forefront of assisting with setting up the foundation and beginning stages of a US Field Service team.

Working from home, you’ll write training manuals, preventative maintenance programs, other trainings, and other necessary documents to build the foundation for a successful field service team in the future.

We currently commit to service within 24-48 hours from call. We are in process of expanding the US and Mexico business and will have more support in the United States and Mexico over the next few years.

Be On Call: Be available 24/7 and travel as needed to assist customer needs topreserve the Shemesh Automation loyalty and customer satisfaction.

The role will also entail the following responsibilities:

  • Perform installations, unpacking / packing, inspection, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs of the packaging equipment as needed
  • PLC software knowledge, for on-site support or from remote. Siemens PLC knowledge - an advantage.
  • On-call as will be the sole field service representative in the US. React quickly and travel to customers as needed as customer satisfaction is Shemesh’s top priority
  • Fly / travel anywhere in the world to support customers equipment as needed with the focus being travel within the US.
  • Communicate with customers, sales teams and Shemesh Automation management as needed to answer any technical questions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure installation and repairs are flawless and seamless
  • Technical support on operation, repair and maintenance of packaging equipment as needed through on-site visits.
  • Provide telephone/remote technical support for equipment at sites throughout the North America and Mexico
  • Initiate proactive action on behalf of the customer, e.g. preventative maintenance.
  • Provide closed-loop feedback on all escalated actions.
  • Develop customer relationships that breed loyalty.
  • Actively promote the features and benefits of the equipment/ products.
  • Actively engage other areas of the business when opportunities exist.
  • On-call as needed to support equipment throughout the U.K, North America and Mexico.
  • Be prepared for travel to increase as presence in the United States and Mexico expands over the next few years
  • Travel to trade shows, and trainings overseas on a semi-yearly basis
  • Performs the administrative duties associated with the job including Expense Reports, Mileage reports, Time Cards, Parts Requisitions/Returns, Installation Reports, Service Reports, and other reporting duties, which may be assigned.
