Robot enhanced lines offer gains

Shemesh Automation’s robotics-enhanced packaging lines will take centre stage on its interpack stand this time.

On show will be the BuckIt – TKS25 automatic turnkey A-Z buckets line. Offering complete packaging for products in buckets, Shemesh says this ultra-low-downtime line offers manufacturers a competitive advantage as all machines are built by one machinery maker. The line is seamlessly integrated, easily controlled and all parts and services are offered by Shemesh.

BuckIt – TKS25 features a buckets denester with servo-controlled carousels for complete hands-free feeding, accurate gear pump filling, servo-driven lid denesting and buckets labelling with accurate orientation.

Meanwhile, the TKS-B100 turnkey multi-product line has been engineered to handle the entire household cleaning product packaging process – feeding, filling, capping, labelling, case packing and palletising of containers of most shapes and sizes. The line handles corrosive liquids like bleach and also flammable materials at up to 100 ppm (packs per minute).

It features up to five ABB Delta robots: 1-2 on the product unscrambling station; 1-2 for accurate multi-capping and one for case packing – as well as an integrated advanced vision system.

“The message we really want to hammer home at interpack is that Shemesh has the ability to secure complete automated packaging lines from depalletising and feeding all the way to case packing and palletising, all made by one experienced machine maker.

“When you throw our integration of the robotics into the mix too, you can see we have plenty for customers to be excited about.”

Also demonstrated on the stand will be an Attilus continuous motion capper.

This 80 ppm capper utilises a robotic sorter based on a Delta Robot and an advanced vision system which sorts and orientates even the most complex screw, trigger and pump caps.
